The Vision
Amplify TakeFlight is a health tracking Android app built for CSC (now DXC Technology). Using Bluetooth Beacon technology, it detects when employees choose the stairs over the elevator, tracks their effort, and rewards them through a gamified ladder system — turning healthy choices into a company-wide challenge.
My Role & Impact
As freelance Tech Lead, I led the end-to-end creation of the app with a small team of contractors. I designed the beacon detection system, the gamification mechanics, and the Android app architecture.
- Architected the Bluetooth Beacon proximity detection system
- Designed the gamification and reward ladder
- Led a team of contractors through design, development, and delivery
- Integrated with CSC’s internal systems for employee profiles
